29. He suffered a major stroke and was humanely put to sleep.

This photo of him was taken on September 15 of 2001...still "outstanding in his field" and enjoying life.
We are sure that he is now romping about with his favorite broodmares from all the years past....
We will miss him so very much....as a versatile champion in the ring, as a sire without parallel, and a gentleman always...
A legend in his own time, Wap's Spot 2 founded an entire dynasty and made an impact on the sport horse world that will never be duplicated. His legacy will continue with his sons Wap's Reflection, Wap's Applause, and triple grandson Wap Spot.
